The Federal Bureau Investigation is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of Joshua Patrick Weldon whom it believes to be in Maine and considers armed and dangerous.

ALFRED (NEWS CENTER Maine) — The Federal Bureau Investigation is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of Joshua Patrick Weldon whom it believes to be in Maine and considers armed and dangerous.

Weldon was arrested on Aug 13 by the FBI in Alfred on a charge of conspiracy to distribute fentanyl and later released on Oct. 23 on $10,000 bail. Conditions of his bail said Weldon had to stay at a sober house, but the FBI said he failed to report to the house on Oct. 24 and then did not show up for a scheduled appointment at the U.S. Probation Office the following day.

There is a warrant out for the arrest of Weldon.

Sanford Police said Weldon led them on a high-speed chase when they spotted him on Nov. 6. He then stopped his car and ran away. Sanford Police said they used a canine team to track Weldon, but he was picked up and brought to an apartment in Springvale where he smashed the front door when those living there did not want to let him in.
