AUBURN, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- September is Hunger Action Month, and Good Shepherd Food Bank is asking Mainers to spread the word online, and on their clothing.
On Thursday, staff members at Good Shepherd Food Bank participated in National Hunger Action Day by wearing orange to raise awareness about food insecurity. They are asking Mainers to also wear the color, and to post online about hunger using the hashtag #HungerActionMonth.

The hope is that sharing stories on social media will help bring in more donations before the winter months.
