SACO, Maine (NEWS CENTER Maine) -- You've already noticed the valentines day candy and decorations in stores as we get closer to February 14th. Cynthia Chadwick-Granger always looks forward to the holiday because it's an opportunity to advertise her wedding business.

Granger started Vows By Cynthia eight years ago. She's always had a love of weddings and her mom convinced her to become a notary. She considers herself a wedding officiant because she doesn't like to have any guidelines to the weddings she writes, but instead interviews the engaged couples about their relationship and makes their wedding ceremony a reflection of them.

"I got thinking and I thought what I could do. I could not only perform the ceremony, but I could write the ceremony. Two things that I love to do," said Granger.

During her first year in business, Granger officiated 6 ceremonies. Last year she wrote and officiated 32, including the New Year's Eve wedding that Kate and Jayson Dibiase had at the Agora Grand Event Center in Lewiston.

The couple wanted unique and that's what Granger delivered.

"When she read what she prepared for us, I was like it's everything we'd want to say," said Kate Dibiase. "Like if we were to talk to each other, it would be literally every word I would say to him."

Vows by Cynthia cost around $550.
