Downsizing – DVD, Blu-ray
“Honey, I shrunk Matt Damon.” Not really. In Downsizing, people can be shrunk down to 5” tall, which allows them to live like millionaires while reducing the effects of overpopulation and carbon emissions. It probably appeals most to people who like thoughtful sci-fi and “comedies” that are more clever than funny. It’s not your fault if you never heard of it--it wasn’t in the theaters long. A lot of critics liked it though.

The board game that sucks kids into itself now is a video game
. Fortunately for the kids who inevitably are sucked into the video game, their in-game selves are Dwanye Johnson, Karen Gillan, Jack Black, and Kevin Hart. It turned out better than people thought it would. It’s even still in the theaters in case you want to see the IMAX or 3D versions.
